Korean pop sensation Seventeen is gearing up for an exciting journey in Japan, delighting fans with the announcement of their first best-of album and a forthcoming concert tour.
During their “Love” fan meeting held at the Tokyo Dome on Sunday, the 13-member boy band revealed their plans, concluding a series of fan meetings that took place at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on May 17-18 and at the Tokyo Dome over the weekend.
According to a statement issued by Pledis Entertainment, the band’s agency, all four shows were sold out, with a staggering attendance of 180,000 devoted fans.
Sunday’s event was filled with electrifying performances, games, quizzes, and engaging talk sessions, just as the previous gatherings. The evening commenced with the Japanese version of their 2018 hit song “Run to You” and “_World” from their fourth LP reissue, “Sector 17.” The group continued to captivate the audience with an extensive lineup of tracks, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an unforgettable festival. Notable performances included the Japanese rendition of “Oh My!,” the subunit BSS’ dynamic performance of “Fighting!” featuring Vernon, and the band’s latest release, “F*ck My Life.”
Before bidding farewell, the members expressed their gratitude to the crowd. One of the bandmates was quoted in the statement saying, “We have spent a long time with Carats (the Seventeen fandom), and it brings us immense joy that we have been able to create countless cherished memories together. We sincerely thank you for sharing our dreams with us. It is because of Carats that the thirteen of us are fulfilling our dreams as one.”
However, the surprises were not over yet. As the group prepared to exit the stage, they made a significant announcement: on August 23, Seventeen will release their first Japanese best-of album, a compilation of their greatest hits. Following the album’s release, the band will embark on their year-end concert tour, aptly named “Seventeen Tour ‘Follow’ to Japan.'”
The “Follow” tour will take place from September to December, covering multiple cities in Japan, including Saitama, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
