Badshah, born Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia on 19 November 1985, is a prominent Indian rapper, singer, film producer, and businessman celebrated for his contributions to Hindi, Haryanvi, and Punjabi music. He embarked on his musical journey in 2006 as a member of the Hip Hop group Mafia Mundeer, alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh. However, in 2012, Badshah decided to pursue a solo career and carved a distinct path for himself in the industry.

Hailing from Delhi, Badshah’s roots can be traced to Haryana and Punjab through his father and mother, respectively. He attended Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura, Delhi, where he showcased his musical prowess as part of the school choir. Although he initially pursued mathematics at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, his passion for music led him to switch his focus to civil engineering at PEC, Chandigarh. It was during this time that he discovered the burgeoning Punjabi music scene, sparking his interest in rap and songwriting.

In 2006, Badshah co-founded the influential Hip Hop group Mafia Mundeer alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh. The group released their debut album, “Mafia Mundeer,” in 2007, which propelled Badshah’s career as a rapper. However, he embarked on a solo journey in 2012, parting ways with Honey Singh and Mafia Mundeer.

As a solo artist, Badshah has achieved remarkable success. He has released numerous chart-topping singles, including “Saturday Saturday,” “Kar Gayi Chull,” “Dilwale,” “Desi Kalakar,” and “Jumme Ki Raat.” His music has been featured in several Bollywood films such as “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania,” “Khoobsurat,” “Kapoor & Sons,” and “Baaghi 2.”

Badshah’s talent has garnered him multiple prestigious awards, including the Punjabi Music Best Music Director for a Single Award, the GIMA Award for Breakthrough Artiste of the Year, and the Mirchi Music Awards for Pepsi Swag Star. He has also made notable appearances on popular television shows like “India’s Got Talent,” “Dil Hai Hindustani,” and “Star Vs Food.”
